Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionnonprofitstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct the search for a Grants Manager for our client, a nonprofit organization that supports the elderly community of San Francisco. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity available for immediate hire. The position is currently remote (local remote)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and implement the grants strategy, including researching new funding opportunities
• Create the grants and contract annual budget
• Lead the grant writing program and create and execute on the grants and contracts annual plan. Manage all aspects of grant submissions, including assembling and submitting grant requests, letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations.
• Solicit foundations and apply for government contracts in support of the organization’s mission
• Ensure prompt acknowledgement of foundation and other institutional gifts
• Work with finance department to prepare reports for funders
• Works with the Donor Database Specialist to capture and maintain accurate data

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector
• 2+ years of experience in grant writing and grants management
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, keep processes moving forward in a timely manner, and meet deadlines
• Can resolve complex issues quickly and collaboratively with programs, finance, and operations
• Skill in using budgets to support proposals and grants
• Familiarity with Raisers Edge, Salesforce and Foundation Center databases and other computer programs as needed.
