Scion Staffing, an award-winning recruitment firm, is seeking a highly motivated, and upbeat professional to join our team as an Executive Search Associate in our expanding Portland Oregon office. We are seeking a driven, technology-friendly, and marketing-minded professional who is hungry to learn and lead processes that will significantly benefit the growth and successful operation of our award-winning executive search firm. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is passionate about leadership and career growth! This position is (55%) recruiting tasks involving candidate sourcing, profile writing, editing, and talent coordination duties, (20%) candidate tracking, systems and project management, (15%) candidate scheduling and phone/email recruiting coordination, and (10%) communications and project work. This is a full-time position starts fully remote because of Covid 19 and is based in our downtown Portland, Oregon office long term.

This exciting position directly supports and contributes to real work on behalf of the Scion Staffing team, and works with candidate sourcing, recruiting processes, client/candidate correspondence, research, and related social media job marketing and recruitment tasks.

Key position responsibilities: 

  • Work with and directly support a dynamic, busy team leading important searches that help national nonprofit organizations, foundations, and local corporate clients find exceptional staff.
  • Create proposal for new clients and write compelling candidate descriptions and presentations. 
  • Help source amazing talent and work with incredible clients.
  • Help organize/project manage related work being completed.
  • Help build talent pipelines and rank candidates.
  • Work with executive candidates and help Scion to find exceptional talent for our clients.
  • Schedule and organize calendars for searches/prospects.
  • Check references of executive candidates.
  • Write and edit candidate profiles/presentations.
  • Edit and proofread emails and documents.
  • Create files, labels, and systems.
  • Track, review, and manage executive candidates.
  • Order supplies and run minor errands to support the office.
  • Various administrative tasks and projects.
  • Manage projects and timelines.  

Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Positive attitude and hunger to do real work and make a difference
  • BA/BS and in interest in working in executive search and staffing
  • 2 to 10+ prior years of Administrative and/or Human Resource experience
  • Proven ability using and quickly learning various databases and software programs  
  • A demonstrated interest in HR/Recruiting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • An interest in marketing, online marketing, and sales
  • Ability to work and learn quickly while still paying attention to detail
  • Ability to work hard, have fun, and drive projects to completion
  • Ability to travel once to twice a year for employee/team building events

 
Salary and Benefits:

This position starts as a full-time role with competitive base salary and fully paid individual health (including health, vision and dental) coverage. The starting base pay salary ranges from $48,000 to $55,000 DOE, plus makes additional commissions on the search you support on after 90 days, and has annually salary reviews and raises.  We grow our staff's compensation over time and this position has very strong room for growth for motivated professionals.
