Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) has been engaged to lead the search for the Clinical Nurse Manager on behalf of our highly regarded biotech client. This full-time position is for immediate hire and operates from our client’s headquarters in Alameda, CA.
As the Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the future of biotech while being responsible for the day-to-day management of all clinical staff, oversight of patient care, and ensuring strict adherence to established policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Bachelors in Nursing
- Current State Registered Nurse License (CA or MA)
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 4 years of full-time clinical nursing experience in oncology, apheresis, blood bank, or dialysis required
- 1-2 years clinical supervisory experience with multiple direct reports
- Demonstrated leadership skills and people management skills
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Apps required; willingness to learn additional job-relevant software (donor database management system, electronic medical records)
- Comfortable with tasks involving exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues
- Provide oversight and leadership of collection floor to ensure compliance of company’s standard operating procedures (SOP) during day to day clinical operations
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Clinical Operations to manage continuous improvement of practices, processes and procedures to further donor satisfaction, compliance, documentation and efficiency
- Promote an atmosphere of open communication that facilitates staff input into decision-making, resolution of conflict, and collegiality among all team members, including Donor Management
- Ensure consistent and established process flow is followed by all clinical staff to ensure customer orders are fulfilled and shipped timely and monitored in NetSuite, DMS, AdvancedMD
- Establish goals and performance expectations with staff that tie to company mission and objectives
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching when needed
- Regularly review and evaluate clinical staff performance and complete annual performance evaluations
- Demonstrate effective and professional inter-disciplinary communication
- Oversight of preparation, review and completion of monthly quality control documents
- Oversee all ongoing and new staff training in support of Clinical Operations management
- Provide back-up support and input to site management for staff scheduling, process flow, staff hiring and operational decisions
- Act as clinical point of contact during audits or clinical investigations
- Serve as backup RN on an as needed basis
