Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct a search for a Housing Planning Specialist on behalf of our client, a well-known nonprofit organization in San Francisco, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete, process, and file all necessary paperwork to intake, maintain, and terminate client services in an efficient manner.
- Builds and develops relationships with building property managers/owners to find immediate affordable housing for clients.
- Maintain a caseload of 25+ individuals requiring services.
- Maintain thorough case notes.
- Conduct audits on a regular basis to ensure compliance of files.
- Collaborate with staff and service providers to ensure coordinated service delivery.
- Communicate information to reporting Supervisor.
- Respond to all phone messages, client requests, staff requests, and emails as appropriate and in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of client files at all times
- Attend scheduled meetings and participate in meetings as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with diverse, low-income, homeless and/or formerly homeless population strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of San Francisco resources for individuals, and ability to refer tenants to appropriate resources is a huge plus.
- Experience working independently and as part an integral of the team.
- Bilingual abilities a plus.
- Excellent data entry skills
COMPENSATION:
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $22/hr.
