Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) is leading a search for a Director of Facilities Operations for our client, a well-established social services agency in San Jose serving a very diverse population in the medical and mental health arena.

This role provides oversight to the facilities and operations departments supporting a 108,000 square foot facility housing a community health services agency. The role reports to the CFO and supervises 3 other individuals. You would have the ultimate responsibility for the condition and functionality of the facility managing day-to-day operations, planning, renovations, maintenance, safety, compliance, and environmental standards and other facilities related service.

Primary Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience managing operations and maintenance in a public building or high traffic environment. Experience in the operational maintenance of a hospital or healthcare organization preferred
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage building operational services; develop, implement and evaluate a variety of building and operation systems and preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus with a wide variety of people
  • Experience managing capital and expense budgets
  • Knowledge of regulations, procedures or technical reference materials relating to building maintenance
  • Working knowledge of electrical/mechanical/plumbing/structural operating procedures, accident prevention rules, OSHA Regulations
  • Knowledge of emergency operations
  • Related  education or training and certification such as FMP, CFM, BOMI, or similar
  • A valid California driver license, current personal auto insurance and an MVR sufficient to maintain insurability under agency auto liability policies
  • The job is performed in a public clinic, office and construction environments.
  • Extensive interaction with the public may be required.
  • This job requires you to be on call. (There’s only been one incident in the last several years)
  • Driving is essential to the function of this job. Occasional evening and weekend work is required
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range is $95-100k plus a full benefits package including: Paid Vacation and Sick time, Comprehensive benefit plan with four Health Plan Options (they pay 95% of premiums!), 403(b) Retirement Plan with match, Professional development opportunities at no cost to you.
