Scion Staffing (www.scionnonprofitstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct a search for a temp to hire Human Resource Coordinator for our client, an incredible civil service organization located in Burlington County, New Jersey. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and has experience working with a government agency or public service organization.

What you’ll be doing:
- Liaise and communicate HR concerns between departments
- Establishes policy regarding personnel practices
- Ensure onboard & offboard processes go smoothly and efficiently
- Conduct monthly new hire HR orientation and engage with committees on special projects
- Clear, sound, accurate, and informative reports containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations
- Communicate changes in organization personnel policies and procedures and ensure proper compliance is followed
- Work within (HRIS) Human Resource Information System to meet organization information needs
- Manage confidential personnel files, record documents, and tracking systems for recurring requirements
- Assist with talent acquisition, benefits and payroll
- Work with managers and act as point of contact to address and carry out responsibilities related to personnel matters
 
What you need to be successful:
- Experience working with a civil service organization!
- 3-6 years of HR experience.
- Strong communication with a high level of attention to detail
- Be able to thrive in spaces where problem solving is essential and building relationships with different shareholders is critical
- Be able to take ownership and control of situations
- Need to be adept at quickly learning and using new tech systems
- Significant professional working experience in human resources, including human resources administration
- Superb attention to detail with excellent project and time management skills
- Responsive and engaged working style that is team oriented
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient with HRIS and digital file management systems with the ability to learn new processes
 
Compensation:
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $34-$38/hr. dependent on experience as well as health, dental, vision and other benefits after 30 days of employment! Additional benefits will be offered if converted to permanent employment.
