RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accounts Payable (use QuickBooks, prepare payments, and issue checks)
• Maintain relationships with vendors and address vendor issues on behalf of the company.
• Compile accounts payable owed by the company to vendors, suppliers, or other organizations/individuals
• Prepare and remit payments and maintain all transaction records
• Record payments, commissions and bonuses; solicit payments from clients on overdue accounts
• Process payroll
• Accounts Receivable (monthly invoicing, record in QuickBooks)
• Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records
• Run reports of client fees collected
• Assist with closing the fiscal year and preparing schedules for the audit

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 1 year experience demonstrating proficiency with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting or a related area of study
• Excellent problem-solving skills based on sound judgment and discretion
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks, work under tight deadlines, and work with little supervision
• Strong communication skills with colleagues, vendors, and clients
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• QuickBooks experience for everyday accounts receivable(A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) activities
• Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
• Experience with nonprofit organizations is a plus

COMPENSATION

This opportunity offers a pay rate of $23-$26 hourly, depending on experience. There is great potential to grow professionally while working to help a great cause.
