Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) is conducting a search for a contract Production Specialist for our client, a well-known Organic Home Essential Products Producer in Los Angeles, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • On a daily basis, receives instruction from Supervisor or designated Lead with regard to type and quantity of products to be packed.
  • Transports products from packaging staging area to individual packaging lines.
  • Perform product set up to specified schedule.
  • Observes and maintains proper fill levels in packaging.
  • Visually inspects products on the conveyor belt and rejects products that are unacceptable based on the company’s quality specifications.
  • Ensures that each item is properly packaged and sealed.
  • Affixes the appropriate label onto each item.
  • Arranges cartons of packed product in uniform manner, and affixes a production/inventory tag on each pallet.
  • Maintains cleanliness and regular upkeep of work area and all equipment.
  • Observe and follow safety procedures.
  • Observe and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Minimum 6 months of Production experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to learn SOPs and work instructions quickly
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Must be flexible with work scheduled, overtime as needed.
  • Must be a team player and work well with others
  • Must maintain excellent attendance
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time daily
  • Willingness to learn (cross trainable)

COMPENSATION:
This opportunity offers a pay rate of $18+ hourly, depending on experience. There is great potential to establish stability while working with a company that is environmentally focused with a fun team!
