Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionnonprofitstaffing.com) has been retained to conduct a search for a Nonprofit Database Administrator for our client, a well-known research nonprofit organization with an inspiring educational impact mission in New York City. The Nonprofit Database Administrator will provide database administrative support to the Chief Development Director and assists the team in all fundraising efforts, calendar management, and Raiser’s Edge database record keeping. The ideal candidate has experience with nonprofit fundraising and has a passion for history, culture, and education. This is a fulltime, temp to hire position that reports onsite in our client's Manhattan office 50% and works remotely from home 50%. 
 
What you’ll be doing:
-Helping an incredible organization and cause build their fundraising pipeline!
-Create gift reports, queries, generate mailing lists, email blasts, donor recognition listings
-Creating engagement efforts and supporting development team outreach
-
Responsible for gift batches and reports for finance and ensure gifts are reconciled accurately
-Maintain data hygiene 
-Managing expense reports and assisting in financial close out reporting
-Maintaining the Raiser’s Edge donor database
-Participating in grant writing for funding
-Drafting correspondence and communication on behalf of the development department
-Ensuring timely workflow and communication
-Assisting with events and planning
-Processing donations, running reports, entering checks into the system
-Sending acknowledgment and thank you letters
-Prepare necessary materials for internal and external meetings and take minutes
 
What you need to be successful:
-A passion for Jewish history and culture!
-Extensive Raiser’s Edge experience required
-
Experience in data migration, integration, and mass batch import in CRM software, conditional mail merges, and Luminate Online
-Experience as a development associate in the nonprofit space
-Strong written and oral communication skills
-Superb attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
-Bachelor’s degree
-Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
-Strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as a team member
-Knowledge of fundraising and development terminology
 
Compensation:
The ability to work for an organization with a phenomenal mission, positive team-oriented work environment, and a salary of $25-$28/hr. plus health, dental, vision, sick pay and other benefits after 30 days of employment!
