Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) is currently hiring for a contract-to-hire Medical Assistant for our client, a well-known dermatology practice in Santa Barbara, CA. This Dermatology practice has been providing care to communities across the West Coast since 2000.

Seeking a Medical Assistant to provide administrative support and ensure efficient operation of the office. Primary responsibility will be to support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Interview patients and document basic medical history
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Update and file medical records and insurance reports
• Arrange laboratory services
• Check with patients and update patients charts
• Assist during medical examinations
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of proven working experience as a Medical Assistant
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certified (CCMA) preferred
•Experience working in a dermatology setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software

COMPENSATION

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity which allows you to work with an amazing team, while earning a starting hourly pay rate of $18+ / hour (DOE).
