Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionnonprofitstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct a search for a part-time, contract Remote Development Specialist for our client, a well-known public media non-profit organization with an incredible mission in New York, NY.
Position Overview
The Development Specialist will work closely to support the Development Manager and play a crucial role in high-performing fundraising and development function that contributes to the success of the organization.

What You Will Be Doing
-Planning and executing a variety of fundraising and donor engagement proposals and collaborate with others throughout the organization.
-Organizing and implementing donor cultivation, stewardship, and special events.
-Sending gift acknowledgement letters to donors.
-Providing reports and analysis to support fundraising and engagement tactics.
-Assisting with donor database transition from Raiser’s Edge to EveryAction.
-Providing administrative support to the development team as needed.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
-Previous experience in a non-profit development office preferred!
-Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, database management software, and fundraising databases (Raiser’s Edge, EveryAction, etc.).
-Exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to connect with a variety of people.
-A positive and engaging attitude with a cooperative approach!
-The ability to tailor the presented information to the appropriate audience.
-Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentially.
Compensation
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate depending on experience! Additionally, this position comes with health, dental, and retirement benefits while on contract!
