Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct the search for a contract Leasing Specialist for our client, a well-known Property Management Company in Secaucus, New Jersey.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review all application and certification paperwork and approve or deny applicants based on specific program compliance
• Prepare for and participate in annual compliance audits by state and local agencies
• Manage resident correspondence and recertification notices
• Coordinate eligibility reviews and intake process with eligible applicants
• Assist with HUD annual rent increases and contract renewals
• Ensure all applicable housing program regulated forms are in the file and documented

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-3 years of experience as an occupancy specialist
• 2+ years of experience in affordable housing management
• Must have experience with HUD and Section 8 programs
• Must have Yardi software experience
• Excellent organizational skills
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

DETAILS:

Job type: 6 month contract
Pay rate range: $19-$22hr
Schedule: M-F 8am to 5pm
