Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionnonprofitstaffing.com) is leading a search for a Senior Client Services Manager our client, an amazing nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide affordable health care and benefit solutions to agricultural workers in California. Position Description
This position is responsible for the execution of our client service strategy to ensure client satisfaction, expansion of benefit programs and ultimate retention.  This role reports to the VP of Client Services and works directly with the Superior Team and Field Service Representatives to coordinate benefits and service to our members.
  • This position will meet with or contact members on a regularly scheduled basis to review service-related issues including ideas for improving or enhancing the member’s total service experience
  • Conducts training and education for the member, conduct open enrollment meetings, and coordinate with other offices as needed to ensure continued communication with the members
  • Communicates administrative and service changes to the members and the brokers
  • Resolves client services issues to the satisfaction of all parties
  • Maintains the highest level of retention of members 
  • Owns the renewal process
  • Conducts enrollment meetings and attends, or coordinates at health fairs as needed
  • Coordinates the ordering and delivering of enrollment materials to the members
  • Coordinates resolution of escalated implementation and eligibility issues with broker
  • Processes daily work assignments, including ad-hoc and renewal requests
  • Collaborates with team members to assist during high volume periods
  • Provides a bridge for smooth communication between departments, demonstrating credibility, trust, and support
  • Maintains HIPPA compliance, documents and projects in trust and integrity, handles confidential information with discretion, trust, and integrity. Maintains discretion and confidentiality in relationships with all board, members, staff, and leadership as needed.
  • Assists members, groups, vendors and teams with our forms, projects, and processes
  • Implements workflows by deadline, multitasks and flexes workload
  • Communicates with internal, external groups and members through our systems and regulations with precision and care, especially with confidential information

What You Have to Offer
  • Life and health insurance license required
  • 5 or more years of experience overseeing direct experience in working in an insurance sales, support, or healthcare industry. 
  • High degree of knowledge of health plan benefits and understanding of the broker relationship
  • Ability to travel (post pandemic); you have your own means of transportation
  • Fluent in Spanish preferred
  • Experience developing and leading strong high functioning teams
  • Experience working in a fast-paced high performing environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing, developing, and coaching individuals and teams
  • Experience in health plans and benefits, extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations as it pertains to the Trust
  • Familiar with self-funding and stop-loss concepts
  • Thorough Understanding of Underwriting Guidelines
