Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionnonprofitstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct a search for a Remote Healthcare Cost Analyst for our client, a well-known health care provider with an inspiring impactful mission based out of Southern California. This is a fully remote, direct-hire opportunity with an immediate need!
 
Overview
The Healthcare Cost Analyst will work closely with the members of the Claims department to manage the efforts of maintaining expense levels while providing innovative solutions to improve profitability and reduce expenses. This position requires an individual who is a self-starter and can effectively work in collaboration with several teams.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Analyzing healthcare costs and advising delivery systems and reimbursement procedures.
  • Performing studies that result in alternative healthcare delivery systems and practices.
  • Identifying key cost impact areas for vendor review improvements.
  • Defining claim billing issues and creating measures to address those issues.
  • Reviewing and improving current internal and external claim processes.
  • Reviewing how cost containment claim candidates are identified and assigned to vendors.
  • Researching potential for new In-Network/ OON cost containment vendors.
  • Collaborating with additional teams on Pharma cost containment initiatives.
  • Assisting with Plan Benefit adjustment initiatives related to cost containment measures.
  • Acting as the technical expert in areas of policy development, research and evaluation, reimbursement, and healthcare cost containment.
  • Monitoring technical developments and initiating change as necessary.

What You Need to Be Successful
  • Extensive experience in healthcare cost containment and developing policies & procedures.
  • Previous experience in health or human services program administration and experience leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of health and/or human service programs.
  • Demonstrated experience working with interdisciplinary teams utilizing advanced strategies to overcome barriers.
  • Ability to think outside of the box to creatively approach obstacles.
  • Adaptability, a high level of organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
