Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct a search for a Patent Attorney on behalf of our client, a growing research and development lab that specializes in inventing and patenting future technologies in the wireless and video compression field, located in beautiful Washington DC!

What You’ll Be Doing:
-Work closely with inventors in the drafting and prosecution of patents before the USPTO and foreign counterparts.
-Prepare responses to Office Actions.
-Conduct interviews with Patent Examiners.
-Ensure that application and renewal deadlines are met.
-Advise overseas attorneys on applications for foreign patent applications.
-Manage patent portfolios.
-Create presentations and reports of patent matters and patent portfolios.
-Negotiate and carry out research and intellectual property agreements.
 
What You Need to Be Successful:
-Extensive experience as an IP Patent Attorney practicing before the USPTO.
-A degree in Electrical Engineering.
-Broad experience prosecuting patent applications and responding to office actions.
-Previous experience with wireless and/or video compression technologies.
-Superb written and verbal communication skills.
-Exceptional attention to detail.
-Positive attitude and dependable nature.
