Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionnonprofitstaffing.com) has been retained to conduct a search for a Nonprofit Human Resources Consultant for our client, a global nonprofit organization that recruits data science experts to work pro bono with visionary changemakers and solve an array of humanitarian challenges! This is a very exciting role with a collaborative and passionate team on a fully remote basis!
The interim Nonprofit Human Resources Consultant will bring a customer service orientation to support the hiring, onboarding, staff engagement, benefits, and people-oriented needs of the organization. This is a full time, interim position reporting to the Director of Operations.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Talent acquisition and onboarding
-Cultivate a robust recruitment pipeline for each role and for future opportunities, with an emphasis on under-represented identities in the tech space.
-Manage a data-driven process that mitigates bias.
-Work with supervisors to transition staff and contractors in and out of the organization smoothly.
Staff engagement, culture, and professional development
-Manage the semi-annual performance review process, training staff on how to provide useful feedback, updating review form questions in our Lattice system, and ensuring reviews are submitted on time.
-Track and promote staff use of annual professional development funds and share or create additional opportunities for learning.
-Lead and manage office engagement events.
Benefits, compliance, and compensation
-Select and review benefit plans, answer staff questions, and implement employee accommodations.
-Monitor changing policies and regulations, initiating updates as needed; maintain compliance with global, federal, and state regulations concerning employment, benefits, and leaves of absence.
-Support regular compensation reviews to ensure salary bands are consistent and strategic.
-Maintain staff and contractor records.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
-An appreciation for data science.
-Human resource and talent acquisition experience, ideally in a nonprofit or startup environment.
-The ability to work effectively from home.
-Strong project management skills with experience managing complex processes with multiple participants/stakeholders from start to finish.
-Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
-Experience working with Mac OSX, Microsoft Office suite, and cloud based software (ideally Google Suite and Salesforce) and; comfort learning new software systems quickly.
-Acute attention to detail.
-Ability to adapt to change quickly.
-Comfortable working with tight deadlines.
-Ability to be proactive and anticipate needs.
This position offers competitive pay of $38-$41/hr. (based on experience), flexible remote hours, as well as health, dental, vision and other benefits! This position works on an amazing team and makes an incredible impact on people all around the world!
