Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct a search for a Regional Psychologist for our client, a well-known government contractor. This position is located in Fort Belvoir, VA and is a direct-hire opportunity with an immediate need! If you are an experienced Psychologist, with Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility, we want to hear from you!
 
Overview
The Regional Psychologist will work to conduct psychological evaluations and establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders. They will be working with a wide variety of patients but specializing in crisis debriefing and traumatic event counseling.
 
Travel Requirements
This position requires travel time of between 25-50%. The Regional Psychologist will spend 3 days at each location per trip and is responsible for providing supportive services, data collection, and briefings in their assigned region.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Evaluating and diagnosing patients by analyzing medical history, observing behaviors, and conducting appropriate psychological tests.
  • Designing specialized treatment plans and goals.
  • Maintaining accurate data on treatment progress.
  • Ensuring quality service for patients according to legal regulations and accreditation requirements.
  • Following up with patients regularly that are receiving ongoing treatment.
  • Developing and delivering formal briefings to leadership.
     
What You Need to Be Successful
  • An active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from an American Psychology Association accredited university.
  • A current unrestricted license to practice in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
  • Demonstrated experience working with interdisciplinary teams utilizing advanced strategies to overcome barriers.
  • Ability to think outside of the box to creatively approach obstacles.
  • Adaptability, a high level of organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
