Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct the search for a contract-to-hire Human Resources Director for our client, an impactful organization dedicated to providing supports to people with developmental disabilities, based in Tigard, OR. This is an amazing full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity that is for immediate hire.
 
Position Overview:
The Human Resources Director is responsible for supporting the company's growth through the thoughtful administration, planning, and evaluation of the human resource functionality, policies, and procedures to make the organization even more effective! This is a wonderful position for a human resources leader that thrives in hands-on strategic leadership, recruitment/talent acquisition, employee relations, and operations oversight and planning! In this role, you will also work to help ensure accountability of employees, advance equity, and promote improvement in retaining high-quality employees!
 
What you’ll be doing:
-Streamlining, evaluating, and creating HR policies.
-Building and maintaining relationships in the community for talent acquisition.
-Ensuring that the organization is complying with industry trends and federal, state, and local employment legislation.
-Conducting annual employee reviews and makes recommendations to the senior leadership team for improvement of the agency’s policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.
-Making suggestions on compensation and benefits matters.
-Communicating changes in the company’s personnel policies and procedures and ensuring proper compliance is followed.
-Overseeing development, implementation, and evaluation of staff training and development efforts.
-Developing and maintaining (HRIS) Human Resource Information System to meet organization information needs. Manage all confidential personnel files, record documents, and tracking systems for recurring requirements.
-Implementing staff recruitment and retention efforts including exit surveys.
-Streamlining the process of talent acquisition and benefits administration.
-Working with managers to address and carry out responsibilities related to personnel matters such as performance evaluations and workplace investigations.
 
What you need to be successful:
-SPHR or PHR certification a plus.
-Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, and/or related discipline and or equivalent experience.
-A passion for HR work maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment and safety regulations.
-A strong commitment to professional and ethical standards. Able to think and act strategically, maintain confidentiality, use diplomacy and discretion, offer sound judgment, and share and receive feedback. Able to deal with difficult situations in positive and constructive ways.
-Superb attention to detail and excellent organization skills
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS with the ability to learn new processes.
 
 
Compensation & Benefits
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of up to $48 depending on experience! Additionally, this position comes with health, dental, and retirement benefits while on contract! Upon conversion, this position offers a full and robust benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, retirement, and a generous amount of paid time off and paid sick time.
