Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) has been retained to conduct the search for a Landscape Architect for an expanding Austin Landscape Architecture firm. This exciting position reports to the CEO. The office is in Austin, TX, thus the candidate needs to be in Austin, TX. ***OPEN TO RELOCATING CANDIDATES and offering relocation assistance.

This firm is looking for a unique individual with a desire and the drive to create and design the most beautiful, sustainable, and functional residential landscape plans. They are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and excellent negotiation skills to join our design team. The position will require exceptional people skills, communication skills, both verbal and written and most important the ability to pay attention to details and setting project expectations. This person’s responsibilities will include designing plans, using CAD and SketchUp software, client liaison, writing and analyzing reports, drawing up contracts and working with other architects, planners, and engineers to design award winning landscaping projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Opportunity to design high quality residential landscape plans
• Take responsibility for project management
• Meet with clients, builders, engineers, and landscape teams to explain project goals
• Use CAD to develop graphic representation of project
• Apply marketing skills to develop clients
• Prepare site plans, specifications and estimates
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships to achieve pricing goals
• Conduct on-site inspections to assure adherence to final plan
• Select materials based on client desire, budget, and climate parameters
• Research and analyze environmental reports on land conditions

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, required
• 7+ years of experience in a similar role
• Must be creative and resourceful to fulfill customer needs within budget and client expectations
• Licensed as required by the state
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, (or similar 3D programs), Adobe, Photoshop, and all MS Office programs
• Must be creative and resourceful to fulfill customer needs within budget and client expectations
• Seeking a collaborative individual who can get along with the whole team in a family-oriented company
• Someone with a team-focus, solid experience, and a strong determination

Location:

This role will work on-site in Austin, TX. ***OPEN TO RELOCATING CANDIDATES and offering relocation assistance.They are following CDC and state of Texas guidelines for COVID prevention/protection including social distancing, masks in office always, sanitizer, no group meetings, parties or get togethers for now (videoconferencing in the meantime), and in-depth cleaning regularly in the office.

Compensation:

Salary is based on experience and ranges $75-90k + BONUS based on performance, plus great benefits and a wonderful working environment in a rapidly scaling company.
