Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) has been retained to conduct the search for a Communications Officer for an expanding data center technology company in Dallas, TX. This exciting position reports to the CEO. ***OPEN TO RELOCATING CANDIDATES and offering relocation assistance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an advisor to the CEO and Core leadership team.
  • Shape the external profile and reputation of our client. Together with colleagues across the company, the Communications Officer directs both daily media and industry analyst activities as well as helping shape the longer-term brand and reputation strategy.
  • Helps define communications priorities and develop messaging, plans and creative tactics to advance our client’s goals and objectives.
  • Manages communications with stakeholders to ensure there is cohesive, consistent messaging and communications aimed at employees to influence and drive engagement.
  • Develop an internal communications strategy, with a focus on building trust and connection with employees. This includes driving engagement through innovative approaches and tools as well as high-quality storytelling that keeps employees informed about what is happening at and with our client.
  • Lead & inspire global and local communications team to exemplary performance and contribution to the business goals.
  • Promote, maintain, and defend corporate reputation; build proactive strategies and execute rapid response to time sensitive messaging.
  • Enhancing the digital presence of the company, and partners with marketing, digital and social media teams.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years in an executive role leading / managing the Communications function for a large international organization developing and implementing successful and comprehensive communication plans, marketing, and public affairs programs at a large complex enterprise.
  • Focus on results, not activity.
  • Be tenacious and a go getter and steer clear of “soft language.”
  • Significant understanding of today’s media environment, including the effective use of digital and social platforms.
  • The individual must have excellent writing and oral communications skills, a strong sense of collaboration, focused discipline on critical priorities, a drive for results and operate with a great deal of empowerment.
  • You can work with the Core leadership team including the CEO. Ability to influence and communicate strategic initiatives to these senior executives.
  • You are not timid and can stand on your own.
  • Seeking someone that may have experience with a company that is on the verge to go public. (Preferred)
  • Keen understanding of technology landscape on global and local level
  • The individual must have excellent writing and oral communications skills, a strong sense of collaboration, focused discipline on critical priorities, a drive for results and operate with a great deal of empowerment.
  • Ability to produce high-quality, mixed-media communication products which can be delivered through digital and other channels.

Location: Plano, TX (Suburb of Dallas). Job currently reports on-site 100%. ***OPEN TO RELOCATING CANDIDATES and offering relocation assistance.

Compensation:

Salary is based on experience and pays up to $200k++ based on experience, plus great benefits, and a wonderful working environment in a rapidly scaling company.
