Scion Staffing has been engaged to lead the search for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a rapidly expanding Bio Therapeutics company in Bay Area. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in processing requisitions in Coupa
• Help manage department budgets
• Process vendor invoices, ensure proper entry and coding into the financial system
• Interface with suppliers regularly as a part of the A/P process
• Perform monthly Accounts Payable (including Credit Card Payable) close activities consisting of closing A/P reconciling key accounts, and ensuring completeness of A/P
• Track and record accruals
• Overseeing employee Expense Reporting system (Expensify)
• Complete A/P and credit card accounts reconciliation
• Assist Finance team with month-end closing procedures
• Assist in supporting external audit testing procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience with Accounts Payable and GL
• Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting preferred
• Software Proficiency with Coupa, NetSuite, MineralTree, and MS Excel
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
• Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment
• General understanding of SOX compliance rules and guidelines, or willing to learn about SOX

COMPENSATION:

This opportunity offers a competitive salary of $75,000+ DOE
