Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) a full-service national staffing firm, has been engaged to conduct a search for a full-time Property Manager for our client, an established equitable housing organization located in Astoria, OR! This role is perfect for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills!
Additionally, the ideal professional exhibits patience, understanding, and has a passion for helping vulnerable populations gain affordable housing! The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of properties in the area. Candidates with experience in Low Income Section 8 housing and HUD are especially encouraged to apply!
What You Will Be Doing:

Lease all owned or managed properties and exercise all property manager responsibilities including waiting list management, conducting verifications, checking references, move in/out inspections, annual recertifications, terminations, monitoring lease rate, and refunding security deposits

Accurately and consistently monitor program policies, procedures, and regulations to assure program compliance with federal and state reporting requirements

Develop and implement selection procedures for new residents and review request for reasonable living accommodations

Prepare and present internal statistical reports for the management of department of activities

Schedule maintenance staff for all property and unit maintenance

Provide training to staff regarding property management and maintenance principles, program regulations, policies, and procedures

Analyze and communicate all federal, state and local regulations for ongoing modification to department policies with staff

Implement conflict-resolution skills to address resident, landlord and general-public complaints

Timely alert residents of scheduled housekeeping/annual inspections

Actively participate in various committees related to housing programs
What You Have to Offer:

A passion for helping and working with people!

At least 5 years of property management experience
-
Experience with HUD, Section 8 housing, and LIHTC regulations

A valid driver's license is required

Advanced organizational skills, professional demeanor, the ability to deliver a high level of customer service, and the capability of using discretion in confidential situations

Ability to work independently and prioritize duties
