Scion Staffing is excited to partner with one the largest learning institutions in the country to place a dynamic Marketing Manager of Strategic Initiatives to join their digital strategy marketing team in Berkeley, CA. This role will report to the Chief Strategy Officer. You will successfully lead a team of both in-house and external talent to help meet and report upon success benchmarks. You will be the owner of a new digital content platform for a diverse audience of B2B and B2C. This role will be tasked with program development, content creation, team management, and growth strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a mix of big-picture strategic thinking coupled with experience effectively leading program launches positioned for market adoption.

 

THE ROLE:

Content and Program and Development (50%)

-Platform, Content, and Project Management

-Serves as primary “owner” of designated new ventures, accountable for their timely development and - launch in alignment with agreed upon objectives and timelines.

-Oversee operationalization of product roadmaps, creating new processes as needed.

-Project manage the launch and growth of project initiative

-Ownership of platform, collaborating with CSO, team members, vendors, other stakeholders to steward launch

-Lead and manage content development process

-P&L management

 

Outreach (40%)

Strategic Planning & Implementation

-Work with CSO and consultants to craft sales funnel for both b2c and b2b segments

-Develop and execute consumer (b2c) and enterprise (b2b) marketing plans, working in partnership with marketing team and other senior leadership

 

Research, Reporting and Analysis

-Collaborate with consultants to apply market research insights to product development.

-Track performance of efforts using a variety of reporting tools and in consultation with vendors and applies insights to continuously improve effectiveness.

-Prepares monthly data dashboards reflecting the outcomes of ongoing, core marketing and sales efforts.

-Applies data-driven mindset to assessment of past marketing and sales efforts and inform future opportunities.

 

Outreach

-Own calendar of monthly “fremium” events focused on lead generation. Research, identify and develop new marketing opportunities.

-Oversees creation of marketing collateral and other support materials for print and digital formats.

 

Strategic Partnerships (10%)

-Identifies key strategic partners, thought leaders and consultants in relevant industries to enhance product development pipeline.

 


REQUIREMENTS:
-Minimum 5 years of related professional experience in business, program and/or product development

-Demonstrated track record of planning and launching new programs end-to-end, with definable results, with preference for the higher education or EdTech sectors.

-Experience leading a team, and providing the vision, feedback, coaching and mentorship necessary to ensure high-level of performance and success. Effective management of designated support staff and vendors.

-Experience managing strategic partnerships.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
-Creative visionary for application of digital media and remote learning modalities, and ability to confidently make recommendations about which platforms and technical solutions would best match business needs.

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (365 preferred), G-Suite, email marketing (Mailchimp preferred), CMS applications (Drupal preferred), project management software (Asana preferred), Student Information Systems (SONIS or other Jenzabar product preferred), and payment platforms.

-Proficiency using performance and market research analysis tools such as Google Analytics and labor market statistics tools, and ability to deliver timely, actionable reports.

-Demonstrated ability to cull and apply market insights and marketing and sales performance outcomes to the development of new strategic plans, as well as optimization and pivot strategies for plans in flight.

-High degree of expertise with project, creative, and budget management.

-A champion of new digital platforms and tools, with facility at elegantly stacking them to create a cohesive and seamless framework for product delivery that delights end-users.

-A high-level of professional presence and maturity, with skill at effectively delegating tasks.

-A flexible, entrepreneurial self-starter, with the ability to manage diverse and competing priorities gracefully and with a high degree of professionalism.

 

SALARY:
$65,000-$75,000 DOE
