NOW HIRIING – NON-PROFIT DONOR RELATIONS COORDINATOR – FELINE HOUSE

----REMOTE 3-4 DAYS A WEEK---

Scion Staffing (www.sconstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Donor Relations Coordinator. Our client is an amazing nonprofit focused on supporting stray cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.

Every day, this team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support This is an amazing opportunity to do something great. This role will play a vital part in growing organizational fundraising and relationship building with donors. This is a temp to perm role with excellent room to grow with the organization.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • CRM/Donor/Customer database experience - relationship software
  • Strong attention to detail – extensive data entry
  • Support all correspondence with giving portals, including securing donor info, entering it into Salsa (CRM) database and sending letters when appropriate.
  • Natural ability to begin and grow relationships
  • Create newsletters to donors, funders, and other stakeholders.
  • Create and support fundraising opportunities for donors and businesses
  •  Implement annual fundraising plans and strategies.
  • Support the management of all database information.
  • Support all organization expressions of donor gratitude.
  • Engage with directors on major donor support and campaign challenges/successes.
  • Support the creation of a fundraising culture among staff and board.
  • Coordinate messaging, talking points/visuals for use in campaigns and donor acknowledgement with Communications team.
  • Work with development and marketing staff to ensure consistent messaging on need, impact, and donor appreciation.
  • Support institutional giving manager with grant writing efforts when needed.
  • Engage with local and national corporate giving opportunities when needed.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong commitment to working in animal welfare.

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Experience with donor asks, cultivation and relationship building
  • Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment; successfully manage multi-functional projects, priorities, and timelines with minimal supervision; follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Strong computer skills including ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite and Network for Good fundraising software, solid knowledge and comfort with word processing, spreadsheets, mail merge and advanced functions.
  • Strong customer/donor database skills, including high-level data entry, tracking, and analyzing data and data forensics. Knowledge of Salsa CRM a plus!

 

LOCATION:
South Los Angeles, CA 90018

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud; when on travel, variable. This job operates in an office environment and active rescue organization with cats and members of the public onsite. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.

COMPENSATION:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour DOE
