Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionnonprofitstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct a search for a full-time, temp-to-hire Student Programming Lead for our client, a national Nonprofit organization dedicated to full-service college access, serving low-income and first-generation students from application to graduation. Your territory focus is the Bay Area in California.


As the Student Programming Lead, you will bring your strong relationship-building skills and background in education recruitment to bring in allies across diverse communities. You will be skilled at managing multiple projects and be able to initiate and support the academic success of first-generation college students.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Implement all aspects of student recruitment and intake including regional student recruitment strategy, material development, onboarding, key stakeholder relationship building, and the selection process
  • Identify key partners and schools and set recruitment targets, draft communications for junior recruitment and engagement, and develop content for webinars
  • Lead implementation of junior and senior programming including planning a virtual webinar schedule, hosting project kick-offs, updating and developing curriculum, tracking program goals and milestone completion, and developing and sending student newsletters to increase student engagement
  • Collaborate with the Volunteer Manager to co-host webinars related to the college application process
  • Collect and track robust student data and ensure all yearly program elements and tasks are accurately inputted into the internal systems


What You Have to Offer:

  • Comfortable networking in the Bay Area and expanding the student base their locally.
  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • 5+ years of experience in education recruitment
  • 5+ years of experience in program management
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
  • Experience in developing partnerships and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Experience in scholarship management and operations
  • Experience in the development or creation of curriculum, training, and student events
  • Must be comfortable working in an anti-racist organization with a diverse group of external callers and visitors and internal staff at all levels


Compensation & Additional Details:

  • Pay Rate Range: $30.00-$33.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm PST
  • Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
  • Location: Remote
