Scion Staffing is seeking a new Regional Manager of Staffing & Recruitment to join our dynamic team to work in our expanding contract and permanent contingent search divisions in Los Angeles. This position is local hybrid/remote in the greater Los Angeles area or surrounding Southern California cities. This role is focused on both recruiting for Scion Staffing in Southern California for our amazing clients and established job orders and will also help manage a small recruiting team and function as our regional recruitment lead for our expanding branch and office!

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Regional Manager of Staffing & Recruitment is primarily responsible for the recruitment of regional temporary contract staffing and direct hire recruiting in Southern California and regionally. This position is focused on recruiting, placing talent, servicing clients and building positive long-term relationships for our firm. Please note: Scion Staffing has a separate partnerships team that sells/brings in the job orders we work on in the region and nationally. 

 

This opportunity is a strong match for a candidate that wants to help grow our expanding business in the area and lead impactful recruiting rewarding work part of a dynamic positive and upbeat team. S/he/they will be creating impact from direct recruiting and organically grow and manage a local recruiting team as needed for the region. The focus of your recruiting work will be sourcing, interviewing, and referring applicants for administrative, finance, marketing, operations, engineering, human resources, sales, customer service and other professional positions for Scion Staffing clientele. This position requires exceptional hands-on recruiting skills for effective temporary and direct hire talent recruitment and has exceptional room for professional growth.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Candidate Recruitment, Retention and Placement

  • Recruit amazing candidates for corporate and nonprofit clientele locally and statewide.
  • Source, interview and place exceptional proven talent.
  • Work as a partner to our partnership team and service our clients while providing exceptional customer service and staff.
  • Implement and execute recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  • Spend time recruiting, placing and building relationship with our accounts and growing a recruiting team as the business scales.
  • Set recruiting billing goals for your region and drive success as the location grows. This is a new position and office for Scion in 2021. We have clients in the area now we are successfully staffing!
  • Works to successfully support and recruit for our local and national clients by:
    • Conduct client intake to assess viability of prospective job opportunities. Conduct thorough research on job requirements and qualifications, as well as work environment and organization culture.
    • Connects with a diverse cross-section of candidates through phone screens and in-person interviews.
    • Assess candidate qualifications by thoroughly vetting candidate backgrounds, experience, hard and soft skills, etc.
    • Recruits qualified candidates for client projects, temporary assignments, and temporary-to-full time opportunities.
    • Utilizes our built Bullhorn ATS extensively to ensure active candidate tracking, maintain candidate and client notes, and schedule appointments.
    • Maintains email correspondence with clients, candidates, and internal staff through Outlook online.
    • Creates thorough written candidate presentations for client review.
    • Generates job descriptions to post on Bullhorn and online job sites.
    • Arranges candidate-client interviews by coordinating schedules; provide coaching and interview preparation for candidates.
    • Maintains on-going communication after placement and resolve any client and/or candidate issues quickly and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality, sensitivity, and the highest level of customer service satisfaction.
    • Coordinates with the Scion Operations team to ensure proper follow-through on candidate onboarding, reference, and background checks.

 

Recruiting Leadership

  • Act as the regional recruiting team leader for Scion Staffing in the region.
  • Build positive long-term relationships with our amazing employer clients and talented candidates.
  • Helps passionately manage and grow a recruiting team as we continue to scale in the area.
  • Bring responsive and passion for recruiting to fill the amazing jobs provided by our partnerships/sales team.
  • Promotes an incredible positive, inclusive, ethical, and fun team culture consistent with Scion Staffing’s Mission and Values.
  • Participates in local trade association and networking events to increase the firm’s recruiting presence in the local business community as needed.
  • Seeks to grow professionally and the impact the team generates in the area.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A positive attitude and passion for recruiting and helping others.
  • Strong desire to succeed and grow professionally; self-motivated and eager to take on, lead and manager new challenges!
  • Proven recruiting experience and a track record of success in a fast-paced dynamic environment that leverages technology and modern best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in the recruiting industry.
  • Ability to lead a team and grow to be a high functioning recruitment lead for the region.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong writing and editing skills.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word/Resume creation and strong ability to learn Microsoft Outlook/365.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, technology, and prioritization skills.
  • Able to type/create email correspondence quickly while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.  
  • Experience working with previous Applicant Tracking Systems, job boards and online networking resources.
  • In-depth knowledge or passion for learning current recruiting practices; an interest in learning local employment law, market compensation structures, and benefits best practices.

COMPENSATION
This is a wonderful opportunity to work for an award-winning established company in a positive and dynamic work environment! Total compensation for on target earning for the first year is $100,000 to $115,000 and has the potential for considerably more with uncapped commissions. This includes a starting base salary of $60,000 to $75,000 DOE plus super competitive and immediate commissions (that can be an additional $40,000+ annually), additional team bonuses, 401k, paid individual healthcare (health, dental, vision) and so much more!
