Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) has been engaged to search for a Patient Access Representative for our client, a well-known healthcare provider, located in Sedro-Woolley, WA. This position works on a wonderful team and is a three-month contract opportunity with an immediate need!

As the Patient Access Representative, you will be an integral part of an organization that cares about making a positive impact on the community. You will assist in coordinating scheduling, pre-certification, and insurance verification and act as a liaison between patients and physicians. Their mission statement positively influences the company culture, work environment as well as how they care for and treat their employees.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Register patients with accurate demographics, and financial data which may include mobile cart depending upon location
• Collect patient balances, co-payments, co-insurance, or other payment types
• Verify coverage and ensure all insurance requirements are met, as well as obtain all prior authorizations and/or referrals as appropriate prior to patient arrival
• Respond to patient inquiries
• Assist with departmental coverage as needed
• Manage daily appointment schedules including reminder and referral calls
• Occasionally transporting patients utilizing escort or wheeled transport equipment

What You Have to Offer:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in a Medical Office
• 1-2 years of experience in Customer Service
• 1 year of experience with Insurance Verification
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology and CPT/ICD coding is preferred
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Must be able to manage conflict effectively and professionally
• Excellent time management skills with an emphasis on meeting time-sensitive deadlines
• This position with our client requires employees to report to work at a physical location. Compensation & Additional Perks:

• Pay Rate Range: $27-$29 per hour
• Job Type: Contract - Three months
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am – 5 pm
• Location: Onsite in Sedro-Woolley, WA
