Scion Staffing has been engaged to lead the search for a driven Accounting Specialist with a rapidly expanding design firm located in Oakland, CA. Job Duties

• Monthly reconciliation and posting of payroll General Ledger transactions; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Work in collaboration with the Staff Accountant and Controller
• Maintain web-based credit card/expense report system
• Responsible for full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Complete AP/AR duties within QuickBooks Online
• Communicate financial reports to employees and vendors at all levels of the organization
• Collaborate with all departments to ensure accounting functions are running smoothly

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years full cycle AP & AR experience
• Current experience with QuickBooks, specifically with QuickBooks Online is a plus
• Familiarity with accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with expense reports and petty cash disbursement
• Competency in Google Docs, MS Office, databases and accounting software
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Familiarity with Slack, Monday.com, and Google Drive & docs is a plus
• High school degree required, Associate’s degree or relevant certification preferred

Compensation

This opportunity offers a competitive salary of $55,000 to 65,000 DOE, potential for career mobility with an expanding team, as well as comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, and paid holidays).
