Scion Nonprofit has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced K-12 Admissions Recruiter for an incredible charter school system working to reimagine education! This is a direct hire full-time position based in New York City.

This is a meaningful opportunity to impact the lives of future students and families specifically in the Bronx! The primary focus of this role is to grow the neighborhood's student enrollment into this school system through spreading word of the incredible academic curricula and achievements - and opportunity available to students!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop and manage community outreach and relationship strategies within the region to enhance brand presence and form lasting relationships across the community.
  • Develop and cultivate external partnerships with local community organizations to spread knowledge of the school, expand its network and feed into the pipeline of prospective students. Host events at partner organizations.
  • Work at a cross functional level with the Marketing and Communications team to design promotional materials and other relevant advertising content for the academy.
  • Guide local schools in applying successful social media strategies, as well as best practices in prospective family/student tours and community events.
  • Run regional market performance reports and market analysis to identify projections, patterns, and provide potential solutions.
  • Support admissions system and processes.
  • Support students and families throughout the admission process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The following experience is required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or related field
  • 4+ years of recruitment/admissions experience ideally in the education space
  • Experience working in/existing relationships with local organizations in the Bronx
  • Experience implementing outreach, marketing and communication strategies to spread the word and attract prospective students/clients
  • Ability to work in office and in the field, including evening hours as needed for events
  • Bilingual: Spanish/English a plus!

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This wonderful opportunity offers the ability to make a significant impact in the lives of students and families in the Bronx neighborhood, and beyond! This role offers a competitive salary between $65,000-$75,000, depending on experience! Additional compensation includes an extensive benefits package with medical, dental, and vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability, retirement plan, and life insurance.
