Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a high-priority search for a full-time Senior Research Associate in Process Development to drive our clients cell therapy research program. We are conducting this search on behalf of our client, an innovative Biotech company focused on improving next level therapies to target serious diseases. If you are an experienced researcher with a passion for advancing process development and scale up of gene therapies, we would love to hear from you!
This position offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to play an integral role in next level gene modification to drive therapeutic advancement targeting complex diseases in a dynamic, fast paced environment. This opportunity is Full-Time, Direct Hire and is located onsite at our clients South San Francisco, CA location!
RESPONSIBILITIES

Contribute to process development for cell therapy through the use of CAR-NK and CAR-T cells and other therapeutic cells.

Perform transductions on primary cells through gene delivery methods and viral vector.

Develop and implement assays to test modified cell function.

Support GMP transfer through development of bioreactor genetically modified cells.

Act as point of contact for external stakeholders.

Perform experiments on process development and raw material qualification.

Document SOP and maintain accurate lab records.

Author protocols, reports and SOPs.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
You come with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Cellular Biology, or any related life science field.

You come with 5 years applicable experience.

You have experience performing tech transfer to GMP.

You are an expert in mammalian cell culture of adherent and suspension cells.

You have experience with gene delivery methods.

Experience with cell therapy manufacturing, bioreactors, or flow cytometry is a plus!

You have effective communication and problem-solving skills.

You are a self-starter who also enjoys working in a collaborative, fast paced environment.
