Scion Staffing has been engaged to lead the search for an experienced Sr. AP Specialist with a nationally established nonprofit based in San Francisco, CA! This is a Direct-Hire opportunity offering a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and the opportunity to work in a remote capacity (must reside in northern CA)!

This exempt, union level position is a vital part of the finance team and will be responsible for full-cycle weekly A/P processing including monthly designation payable processing and work closely with the Controller.

Job Duties

• Manage weekly full-cycle processing of A/P including: all invoices, contracts, monthly checks, check requests, employee expense reimbursements including weekly check printing and ACH processing.
• Oversee monthly and year-end A/P accruals and reconciliations.
• Responsible for account coding, new vendor set-up, researching/ resolving payment discrepancies.
• Liaison with Leadership Team & Managers on issues concerning contracts, purchase orders, invoices, aging payable, grantee payments and credit cards.
• Oversee Monthly Agency Designation Processing and Payouts and 1099 management.
• Liaison with Gift Processing, and Development staff as needed, particularly regarding reconciling discrepancies and resolving problems
• Review stale check report and follow-up with agencies
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or similar field.
• 5+ years of experience with high-volume Accounts Payable
• Experience with Concur (required) and MIP (preferred)
• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and problem solving is a must
• Experience reconciling credit card expense reports.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles\
• Strong management and organizational skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of full cycle AP processing

Compensation

This opportunity offers a competitive salary of $70k to 80k+ DOE and comprehensive benefits including: 100% employer paid Medical, Dental, Vision, 403B retirement contribution, and generous PTO.
