Scion Nonprofit has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Donor Engagement Assistant for a nonprofit organization in San Francisco, CA whose mission is to empower women and girls! This incredible career opportunity will work hands-on with a team of upbeat and talented development professionals driving incredible revenue growth to ensure tangible impact is made in the communities they serve! This position is for immediate hire and works hybrid onsite (1-day/week onsite) and remote!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process all donations received in the mail, including checks
  • Respond to initial requests for Cause-Related Marketing partnerships and support the Manager of Corporate Relations with ongoing stewardship of partners
  • Support the execution of mass outreach, public appeals, campaigns and a calendar of events
  • Support online and offline giving by providing materials and managing third party fundraising platforms
  • Collaborate with the Development Database Officer to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Support Development Database Officer, including entry of third-party donations, wire transfers and website donation review, as needed.
  • Act as the first point of contact (emails and phone calls) for the organization
  • Improve donor retention through the recommitment of recently lapsed gifts
  • Execute donor-related tasks in Salesforce database, ensuring that records are accurate; producing reports for donor cultivation and retention
  • Support the major donor team by completing prospect research
  • Provide general administration support to the team
  • Give presentations and informational interviews to community groups as requested

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree; 3-5 years related experience in nonprofit or educational setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar development database platforms
  • Excellent working knowledge of databases and Google Suite
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Commitment and passion for the organization’s values, mission and vision
  • Strong organizational and project management skills and detail oriented
  • Team player; able to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environment

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This incredible career opportunity provides the opportunity to gain strong working experience at an international nonprofit organization. This permanent position includes a robust package of compensation, benefits and perks. In addition to starting salary this position offers room for professional growth and annual compensation review and growth. The base salary for this role starts first year at $55,000 to $60,000 (depending on experience) plus a full suite of benefits including: health, vision and dental benefits, three weeks’ vacation/paid time off, paid holidays, disability insurance, and a team and organization that will inspire you daily!
