Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionnonprofitstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct the search for a contract part-time Curriculum Specialist for our client, a well-known non-profit focused on honoring military heroes. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact alongside a very devoted and diverse team in a fully remote work environment!

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Creating virtual self-guided curriculum targeted towards middle school and high school aged students.
  • Fostering academic, social and emotional skills in a virtual academic environment.
  • Collaborating with team members to deliver engaging lessons focused on honoring military heroes.
  • Interfacing on multiple platforms such as Zoom, WebEx and more.
  • Assisting with additional duties as presented.
 
What You Have to Offer:
  • A desire to make an impact and support students!
  • Previous experience teaching middle school and/ or high school students. Additional experience in Elementary school is a bonus.
  • Previous experience creating History lessons.  
  • Differentiating instruction- preferably in a virtual school setting.
  • Superb attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member with people and students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills as well as the desire to collaborate with colleagues!
  • Development and practice of cultural competence in teaching, research and other work!
 
Compensation & Additional Perks:
The ability to work for an organization with a phenomenal mission, a positive team-oriented work environment and a pay between $30-$35 per hour depending on experience. Additionally, this position comes with health, dental, and retirement benefits while on contract!
