Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionnonprofitstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Accountant (CPA) for our client, a well-known health care provider with an inspiring impactful mission based out of Irvine, California. This is a direct-hire opportunity with an immediate need!
 

OVERVIEW

The Senior Accountant (CPA) will lead the accounting team to ensure that the organization’s resources are managed effectively while maintaining compliance with GAAP.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Preparing both state and local tax filings.
  • Integrating probability adjusted revenue predictions with cost scheduling to determine expected cash on hand position through the year.
  • Determining weekly and monthly cash flow projections.
  • Producing proactive financial reporting to enable proper internal controls and board governance.
  • Performing reconciliation of selected balance sheet, income, and expense accounts.
  • Supporting completion of annual external audit.
  • Assisting with preparing schedules for financial reviews and audits.
  • Entering all data and invoices into financial software.
  • Preparing invoices.
  • Maintaining vendor records.
  • Managing official files and ensure accurate transactions are supported.
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
  • Experience with nonprofit financial management, including auditing, and tax preparation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit finance compliance.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Superior attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Desire to contribute to a wonderful organization!
