This impactful nonprofit organization is dedicated to managing and providing medical and behavioral health services to a diverse population, thereby improving the lives of everyone in the community.

This full-time, fully on-site leadership position is available for immediate hire in dynamic San Jose, California. A local leader candidate is preferred, but exceptional candidates, open to relocation, from outside the Bay Area will be considered.

Please note that since this position requires in-person work at a physical location, and since the State of California has declared that all employees within the health care arena must be fully vaccinated, AACI is asking that all employees be fully vaccinated by the date of hire. If an eligible candidate is unable to get the COVID-19 vaccine due to a religious, medical, or disability-related reason AACI will make available appropriate reasonable accommodations.

Founded in 1973, AACI serves individuals and families with humility, sensitivity, and respect, advocating for and serving marginalized and ethnic communities in Santa Clara County. AACI’s mission is to strengthen the resilience and hope of our diverse community members by improving their health and well-being, with the goal being that everyone in the community is healthy, safe, and well. AACI’s many programs address the health and well-being of the individual and advance the belief that providing care goes beyond just health, also providing people a sense of hope and new possibilities.

AACI annually serves more than 18,000 community members in more than forty (40) different languages. As a member of AACI’s leadership team, the incoming Director of Health Services will nurture the continuous development of a culture which promotes learning and exploration as well as growth to further AACI’s mission impact. Cultivating relationships with members of the community, leveraging local connections, engaging with local consortium networking groups, and identifying local organizations with which to partner is a vital part of the role. Working between two neighboring clinic locations in San Jose, the incoming Director of Health Services will be eager to establish metric goals and guidelines and work collaboratively with AACI’s leadership team.
