Scion Nonprofit has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Development Manager for our client, an impactful nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental issues and global sustainability. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity that is completely remote! What you’ll be responsible for in this exciting role:
  • Support all streams of fundraising as needed and provide specific leadership on corporate and foundation partnerships.
  • Reinforce efforts to meet, and exceed, revenue targets with a primary focus on identifying and securing unrestricted and core operating institutional resources.
  • Lead relationship management and income generation from funding sources that are in line with the U.S. fundraising strategy.
  • Focus on maintaining existing corporate and foundation partnerships as well as establishing new ones.
  • Cultivate, steward, and solicit corporate and foundation partners to diversify and grow income streams.
  • Develop strong collaboration relationships with colleagues across many countries.
  • Engage in best practices to track data with the highest degree of security meeting all federal standards and regulations.
  • Mentor junior staff and support overall professional development goals.
  • Grow the organization’s income opportunity.

What you can bring to the opportunity and organization:
  • Proven track record of soliciting and obtaining corporate and foundation gifts.
  • A history of high-value corporate and foundation revenue generation through solicitation and proposal writing.
  • Passion for environmental advocacy including climate change matters, clean energy innovations, and sustainability topics.
  • Sophisticated relationship management expertise and a strong record of identifying and building new partnerships.
  • Team management experience, specifically in a remote setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • CRM skills and proficient knowledge of Salesforce or a similar database.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Classy is a plus.
  • Be able to see through a DEI lens.
  • Experience in major donor giving.
